Milk Procurement System is the key factor behind the success of Halar Dudh Dhara Dairy. At Halar Dudh Dhara Dairy, we are committed to provide fresh milk. High quality of milk is procured directly from the farmers at the village level.

To eliminate the middleman, we have established a network of more than 6,000 farmers in villages, 100 members of the Village Dairy Co-operative Society (VDCS), and connected with 3 Milk Chilling Centres (MCC) .

We procure milk both morning and night. To maintain freshness and quality of milk, we quickly bring this milk to nearest concerned MCC, get it chilled and stored at below 4’C.

Finally, milk is transferred to process plant. The Dairy has created integrated cold chain facilities from producer to consumer to ensure the freshness of the milk at all stages. The Dairy has a team of Veterinary supporting staff to educate the farmers on animal health care and clean milk production. This has enabled the farming community to produce good quality milk. The Dairy has high regard among the milk producers for its fair price policy and prompts payments. The trained field staff working on the front end is the core strength of the Dairy.

Services:
The organisation’s aims are to provide remunerative price of milk to the Milk Producers of Jamnagar District, to promote Animal Husbandry and Cattle Rearing, to provide safe milk to consumers.

Main objectives:

Providing basic infrastructure for milk procurement to the newly registered ‘Jamnagar District Co-operative Milk Procedure’s Union Ltd’.

To have a well-organized village Dairy co-operative societies network in the district for remunerative return to milk producers.

To promote employment in the rural area by encouraging farmers to earn a better livelihood by adopting Animal Husbandry thereby uplifting the socio-economic status of milk producers.
